So, now, we should probably discuss what inks held up the best. Should we do it by color?

Also, send a PM and I'll send you the link to download the entire set of photos.

Another Observation ...

Noodler's Rome Burning

When I washed it, I didn't get the light violet / lavender colors that others got, but once exposed to the sun, any of the ink that had been washed did turn violet but the ink that had not been exposed to water retained more of the golden properties.

I think there was supposed to be an Excel table with all the inks listed along with the results. Can anyone direct me to it?

HI THERE! Just wanted to pop by to say I'm real sorry I couldn't follow through with the experiment. I'm working for the media now, and I've spent much of my past few months being.... a paparazzi. And that leaves me little time for my pens and ink. Which is a pity. I've spent my time chasing criminals (pastor who siphoned off 20+ million for his wife's pop career in the US), political figures and victims of disasters.... forgive me!!

You are completely forgiven. And WOW we now know a paparazzi! Has the pastor been caught?

Hello there! I'm so sorry for totally having neglected this post for so long.

I actually returned from the six month job and pen hiatus, now I just bought

two pens to return to my fountain pen craze! (A Stainless Steel Lamy 2K and

a Omas Arte Italiana) and I am loving it!!

The pastor is going to have to defend himself in court, though it seems he's

been given a temporary reprieve to attend appointments abroad. I certainly do

hope that he does not take off or flee!

We are still updating the data files.

GeoDuc was so awesome as to rate the fade resistance of the fountain pen inks. He did not rate the fade resistance of any inks / pens that are not a bottled fountain pen ink.

Based on his reports ....

Hmm.... I've decided that the thread it to hard to read. I'll post the results just as a list in a new thread. People can look back here for the images, or on my website.

Any chance of a link to that list for those of us who have just worked through 27 pages and are still confused? :)

I am no longer very active on FPN but feel free to message me. Or send me a postal letter!

I've been asked what happens when the experiment ends - I put all the papers into a notebook. The 2012 book has traveled across the country to some of the FPNers who have assisted in compiling the data. Here are some photos.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
