Nice review. The ink looks like Herbin Vert Empire to me, though.

Being in Europe (UK) I bought my bottle of this lovely stuff from Rolf Thiel at missing-pen.de - great service and rapid delivery.

I can certainly recommend the excellent services of Rolf Thiel.

I bought two bottles of Moss Green from Rolf; shipping from Germany to my hot little hands here in the UK, a mere 3 days. Fantastic, many thanks Rolf!!

Much more of a brownish green than Vert Empire

I see from the review that this ink is not waterproof, but is it at all water resistant ?

Hi John, geoduc did an amazing two part review of dusky green inks earlier this year, here and here, and as you can see from the scan below, the Stipula Verde Muschiato (7th from the bottom) is not very water resistant at all. The image below is from geoduc's review, which I highly recommend.

I believe there's a limited edtion Stipula Green that's similar to Verde Muschiato but with more emphasis on the green tones. I definitely saw that somewhere on FPN but can't quite remember where.

Having used Verde Muschiato for a while, I still can't quite think of it as a green....more of a gold-brown with green undertones.

It is not waterproof like Noodler's Black. Now by water resistant, do you mean it makes some weak attempt to cling to the paper in the face of water in any form (from a light mist to drops to torrents)? Absolutely NOT. As a matter of fact, if you get a new pen or a pen to try out, or a pen which is a delicate color (like an ivory color) then use Moss Green in it because it will wash out like magic. I bet it's easier to wash out than Florida Blue. So, do not use it for your next scuba dive notes underwater because it will be a great disappointment to you. In every other application, it is wonderful.

very nice color and review  thanks for sharing

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

I love this colour, particularly as my bottle of Sailor Rikyu Cha is almost empty. Anyone know where you can buy it in the UK?

Thanks for this excellent review.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
