I'd love to review it, especially in green.

Will the Nexx M be joining the all-plastic capped version as an offering? I really love my Nexx M in orange and have heard some not great things about the all plastic cap on the regular Nexx.

  • 2 weeks later...

It's a lovely pen, similar to the Safari and Al-Star, but with a different vibe. I will be posting a full review in the next few days.

As to size, it is probably 1/4" shorter, and about as round.

That's a pretty nice looking pen, but what's the scale of the thing? How does it compare in size with the Al-star?

Nice review, Zoe congrats on being the first to jump on that review offer! I may have to consider a Nexx M in the near future.

When will this be available to your US retailers?

Never mind, I learned today that it's exclusive to LamyUSA for now. :headsmack:

I think I bought one of thesse in Lime from Jetpens a few months ago? :hmm1:

Always look on the bright side of life.

JetPens doesn't really count as a retailer. While I think they have some products they stock by normal US channels, they are exceptionally willing to stock "grey market" items such as the Lamy Nexx before Lamy USA brought it over officially. I think what Rachel means is that Lamy USA is not distributing it out to retailers at this time.

Jimmy, Jimmy, what does "grey market" mean?

I'm not sure why Jetpens would not be counted as a retailer. They are one of my favorite retailers. Not only do they have a lot of Japanese-only product, they have excellent prices, fast shipping and free shipping for orders over $25.

We are lucky to have a lot of great retailers out there selling fountain pens, and it really works in our favor to support all of them.

A grey market product is one that is not intended for the market it is being used in. Take for instance the Nissan Skyline. It isn't sold in the US (or wasn't last time I was into cars) but some serious enthusiasts will buy them in Japan and bring them over. JetPens does the same thing for a lot of things. They gave us Iroshizuku before Pilot USA did. They give us a lot of other interesting stuff. When I say they don't count as a retailer, I mean people should remember they do this awesome stuff for us bringing things over we otherwise wouldn't have, so that way it will make sense when a Lamy USA brings in a product as new that JetPens has been selling for a long time.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
