Got my shipment of pen flush and J. Herbin ink from the Goulets yesterday. Just wanted to post my new record unwrapping time from box/bubble wrap/blue mystery plastic wrap: 3 minutes 14 seconds!

 

Tools used: scissors, steak knife, teeth, knees and hands.

 

Has anyone beat that?

Thanks for great protection, Goulets, but maybe you could think about using some slightly less sticky tape? :eureka:

Great time for a small package. Don't expect the same for a large order though. My best time for a large order is slightly over 11 hours. It cost me some broken furniture, a sprained wrist, and a somewhat long stay at the Emergency Room.

I'm looking into renting a hydraulic log splitter for the next order.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..
