Ok Who Got The Beautiful Red Wahl Ringtop On The Bay?

Wonderful red Wahl ringtop on eBay...I just didn't bid quite high enough (but did bid what I was willing to pay at the most so I am OK).

Beautiful in the pics...did one of you get it?

I'm curious about the lever. Not one of the pics shows it from the side - but I have a suspicion that it's been bent at some point and doesn't sit flush with the barrel - that it sticks out.

I was looking at it, but not I. I love that coral color.

Wasn't me either. I was looking at it too. I was drawn to it because that model (if a factory ring top) pen would be an unusual and uncatalogued item, but then I saw the missing clip cavity in one of the array of photos of the pen, and the reason for the very tastefully done ring top applied "after market" became apparent. And so, not a missing catalog item after all, but a very tasteful solution to an all too common problem. Beautiful color nonetheless.

Oops, Fred, Referring readers to an item of yours for sale via the post to the Wahl Eversharp Forum is not supposed to happen. It could appear to be a self promoting sales effort (would that be a total surprise?) and that is reserved for the sales forums on FPN only. To be a nice guy, I have edited it some and if no more discussion happens about it here, I will let it stand. if the opposite, I may have to delete it entirely to be fair.

I've watched a number of this sellers items over the years, a lot do appear to be not quiet right to my eye, of course a lot look very good as well . In this case until the missing clip was pointed out how many not familiar with Wahl ( and I'm one) would have picked that? I think a seller to treat with care if you are unfamiliar with the item. I don't believe the "from my personal collection" having seen ebay purchased items re-appear as such, somewhat short term members of his collection at times!!

I closed that sales offering on FPN, several days or weeks ago, so no harm, no foul I guess. Hopefully, I can add that it's a very nice pen, and it's the odd larger size, that you seldom see. It is currently NOT in my posession, so please do not solicit me for information on or about the sale. I figured, for the reader of the thread, perhaps we can add a picture of the pen, just to make everyone's day brighter. Sucha pretty color and pen.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
