Louis Vuitton Agenda Refill Paper

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I've been toying with the idea of getting myself an LV organizer.

Before paying the LV premiums, I would like to ask whether anyone has any experience with their paper?

It is hard to imagine that a company which prides itself on quality would use bad paper in refills which cost over $50, but I still have doubt.

I am not to sure that a sales rep would let me scribble something in something they have on display, thus I have high hopes of someone sharing their experience.

Thank you in advance.

Yes, I have wondered the same thing. Do you have a store nearby that you could visit? I have considered checking to see if they have a display model and asking to test the paper. I know it is pretty common in a pen or stationary shop to test items, so you never know. Anyway, let us know what you find out.

A major source of objection to a free economy is precisely that it ... gives people what they want instead of what a particular group thinks they ought to want. Underlying most arguments against the free market is a lack of belief in freedom itself.

I have an LV quarterly diary refill and some of their lined paper. It is my favorite paper. The paper is fine but there is no feathering or bleeding though some inks will show through occasionally as with most fine papers. FP ink looks great on the paper. For example if you enjoy the shimmer of Sailor and other inks then that quality is really brought out on this paper when you look at it under an electric light. You get the gold and red-pink shimmers on Sailor Sky High, Epinard etc. LV ruled paper comes in a bundle with both white and a pale caramel colour paper. I think that LV may not sell the paper from their website and you have to go to their shops (you would have to check that out yourself). I have no connection to LV.

I have used my trusty LV A5-sized agenda in black Epi leather for years. I used to use Filofax inserts for the calendar but now that everything is on my iPhone or Outlook I use it for notes, taking sheets from my Miquelrius Diplomat notebooks, and using an A5 hole punch, creating my own looseleaf pages.

Best regards,

Patrick

This could be your first mistake!

I use one of Hermes diaries/journals and am ashamed to say just the refill is £75.00 ($110) - the paper is silky smooth, but bleeds through and because weeks are printed back to back I can't use a fountain pen without ruining the previous or next page.

If I were you I would ask LV if they have a sample sheet to test and use your favourite ink on it.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
