I am really debating buying one of these. They look great and the feel is supposedly great. Could anyone give me a little review of it and also post some pictures? It would be much appreciated! :)

I have an M800 Fine point, green/black. This is a big pen, still working out how to hold it so my hand doesn't tire. The line is quite wide, even wider than my Sonnet medium point. This might be the ink, gonna try Pelikan brand and see if a drier ink helps. My suggestion, get yourself to a pen show/store and try it out. It is a handsome pen, but my Carene is a beauty!

R800 is a rollerball.

I realized that this was a rollerball a bit after I posted my comment. I'm new to the forum and new to Pelikans, so at first I just thought it was an older model. I would have replied, "Get a fountain pen." Or 2) Isn't there a Roller Ball Network forum you can ask?

Thanks for the disabusal, Pajaro!

I have an R800 Rollerball with a fine point refill. The pens writes nicely and feels great in the hand. That said, I use it only when I cannot get to one of my three main Pelikan fountain pens, an M805, M800 Blue O'Blue and the M900 Toledo. Plus I am now waiting for a Nakaya Blue Dragon, but that is at least three months away in waiting time. :)

I only knew the R800 was a rollerball because I am considering buying one.

Generally it seems that R is a rollerball prefix, K for ballpoints and D for mechanical pencils.

The Pelikan 800 series Rollerballs are nice to use and I have had no problems with my R800, even on long haul flights. No leaking, so far.
