I received my "Your package is departing" e-mail this morning. Fantastic!

 

Just to be clear, my prior comment on the slowness of the server was an observation and not a complaint – and I think that I'm far from alone there. I expected that I would be competing with quite a few people to get my click in first. ;)

 

Looking now, you appear to be sold out completely. :yikes:

If you don't mind me asking, just how many Noodler's flex pens did you shift in the last 25 hours?

 

We sold out completely in about 13 hours from when we first listed them. We won't share how many, but it was our biggest batch ever! We feel very very blessed. Now working hard on packing up orders!

 

Can't wait to see what the next colors are! Nathan hinted at even doing some colored demonstrators down the road.... he mentioned doing a pink one, I would LOVE that! We'll let you know as soon as we know anything specific. :thumbup:

 

Make sure to let Nathan know that his pens crashed your server! He will appreciate that level of demand.

With the new FPN rules, now I REALLY don't know what to put in my signature.

I wonder if the website problems was in any way part of the Fredericksburg, MD to Greensboro, NC outage caused by squirrels chewing cables in both places. I have no idea where the Goulet server is, but my limited knowledge of the internet suggests that a problem like that can have strange consequences.

:yikes: They are becoming tech savvy AND are after my FP's. I think it is time to have this pest problem taken care of. I just hope the pest control guys have some ninja or the like on their side.

My order went through at 1:30something, and I got mine a few hours ago. Hang in there, you'll get it eventually! I think they said that they should be done by the end of the week getting everything shipped.

 

And hey Pepp--going to give us a video writing sample while we wait? :P

got my shipping notification today, so now i have to wait about 12 days, excluding weekends. that means i'll be on vacation when it will arrive, and that i'll have a lot of time to play around with it.

I ordered a vulcan coral from Goldspot. I just got the following email:

 

"Due to a shipping error with the anticipated stock of Noodler's Flex Nib pens, we regretfully inform you that we cannot fill your order for the Flex Nib pen. We are completely out of all flex nib pens. We are not sure when more will be available, but it could take from 3 to 6 weeks (lead time quoted by Nathan at Noodler's). Please advise us if you would like to switch for another pen, remove it from your order and ship all other items or keep your order pending with the backorder. You may also opt to cancel your order at this time. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience."

 

I ordered from Goldspot because at 1:10pm, the Goulet website listed all pens as sold out! When I checked back to the Goulet website at 1:30, all swirl colors were in stock so I was able to grab a lapis blue. I just got my notice that that wonderful Goulets sent my notebooks and pen on their way. I really appreciate the fact that the Goulets only list merchandise that they actually have in stock and their very prompt service.

PeppWaves, what's that silver conical thingy?

I love how you all DDOSed goulet pens (esp you who wrote a script that refreshed every few seconds...) and it managed to survive (even through FPNs own down time)

Not PeppWaves, but it looks like the tailcap you need if you want to use cartridges in a VP.

      Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

      It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

      Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

      Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

      @asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
