Online German Fountain Pens

I currently own an Online fountain pen which I believe is from their Young Line Campus line. A friend bought it in Germany for about 20 USD and brought it back to the US. For a month or so now, I've been having issues with the feed, and I've cleaned the pen over and over to no avail. Maybe I'm just not cleaning it correctly (soaking in cold water and flushing with bulb pipette)-- I'm planning to look for a pen cleaning solution the next time I'm at the arts store. For now, I'd like to buy a replacement nib (I'd really love an italic nib, which my friend has) and maybe even a couple more pens of the same type.

The problem is that the company is called Online, which makes it pretty difficult to search. Googling "Online fountain pens" leads me to any number of online fountain pen sellers, and most of the websites I've found through searching "Online Young Line Campus" or the like have been based in the UK, which means exorbitant shipping rates. I really love this pen, and I do not want to throw it away; yet a $20 pen isn't quite worth going to a professional for to get it fixed.

Does anyone know of a US-based online store which sells these pens and replacement parts for them at a reasonable price?

Not a direct answer to your question, but if in Google searches you enclose a phrase in quotes, as in "Online fountain pens", Google will search for the phrase, not the individual words. You can do the same thing with the advanced search.

Maybe that will help.

You can search for retailers on their website,

here.

Hope this helps.

Edit: Sorry, I overlooked that you are looking for _online_ stores for Online pens. So, back to google: searching for

>> "young line" online "fountain pen" <<

with the quotes gives quite a few pertinent results.

Thank you! I'm very glad I don't need to throw this pen away.

I have been searching with the quotations, but the stores I've seen with nib replacements are all overseas (unless I missed something, which is likely).

If I remember well they sell the whole feeding section as a replacement.

I recall having seen them in German shops.

Besides, the number of models, even if they are variations of the same designs, is really impressive.

I was down at my B&M today and saw some Online pens...pretty pens...not cheap...but have metal sections :headsmack: . which I don't much care for.

The replacements are really cheap, I don't care cleaning them, in case they aren't working anymore (I use an Online pen to test ink). They sell a set with 3 different widths and a rollerball, a lot cheaper than buying the sections individually. You could order some of their rose scented ink, Sweet Rose Königsblau, as well (my wife loves it, great for letters), you need to find the right paper though, because it feathers and bleeds pretty quickly.

Thank you, I will try Goldspot!

The same friend who bought the pen in Germany also brought back some of the rose-scented ink, actually, but I didn't have a chance to try it. I'm curious about how it compares to J.Herbin's rose-scented ink.

It's hard to describe the scent. My wife inked one of their pens with it, but I can't tell, not even with the nib in my nose, lol. It doesn't actually smell like a real rose, it smells more like a flowery perfume, pretty sweet. I don't like the Herbin rose scent too much, but I love Violette Pensee, and the Online rose scent is a little further in this direction, yet a lot sweeter.

Besides, Online long size cartridges can be used both in Lamy and International pens, and I like their standard erasable blue much more than the Lamy one.

Last summer, a shop in singapore brought in some Online pens and i have the chance to try out the Newood calligraphy set. i was extremely impressed with the wood material, the smoothness and line variation of the italic nibs and most of all, the low price of it. I'll be getting this set, and maybe some other Online pens from Artbrown once my budget frees up.

Please check out my blogshop for fountain pens and inks at http://inkoholicanonymous.blogspot.com/ Reviews of my pens can be found there too!

Thanks for pointing this set out xuan, I haven't seen it before. This might be a nice gift for my goddaughter, she doesn't like the looks of plastic pens, and most metal pens are too heavy for her. I hope this one is around the same weight of the other Online pens.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
