Places To Buy Bottled Ink With Free Shipping In U.s.?

I've recently been shopping online for fountain pen ink and have run into one problem.

A bottle of ink costs about $10 and shipping costs about $5, this means the price of shipping is 50 percent of the total price.

Does anyone know a place to buy ONE bottle of ink with free shipping (I know if you spend $25 or $50 at some places you get free shipping)?

If it is somewhere like Amazon, please post the name of the ink, the price, and a hyperlink.

I highly doubt you'll find one that has free shipping for orders under $25 because if you're not eating that 33% then they are.

I buy the majority of my ink from JetPens, free shipping in the US for orders of $25 or more. I'm always in need of another $10-15 of paper, office supply, pencil leads, etc or I just get more than 1 bottle of ink at a time. Also currently the best place to get Iroshizuku bottles because they're $28 with free shipping.

For Diamine inks, Nordic Pen Imports. In fact, 10% off this weekend. Their Diamine prices are insanely low.

There's some office supply site that Susan Wirth told me about, but I lost the address. It had Waterman inks with free shipping. Bonus points to whoever finds it and shares with the group.

Yeah, I run into that same problem with Paper & Ink Arts. They're the only one who sells Magic Color inks... a $5-6 bottle of ink ends up costing over $10.

Occasionally greenman508 on eBay (a Noodler's seller) has free shipping, but you have to watch for it. eta: he sells other brands of ink, too.

If you have a .edu email account, you can get an Amazon Prime account for free. A handful of Noodler's ink qualify for Prime (free 2-day shipping or $4 overnight).

ie. Bulletproof Black

Thanks for the info.

Too bad I'm still in high school.

Xfountainpens.com has free shipping over $15, so it gets a little closer to what you're after. They only carry Chesterfield ink, which is repackaged Diamine. I love the Chesterfield Archival Vault ink (same as Diamine Registrar ink).

eta: Chesterfield is cheaper per ounce than Diamine on this website, though it is the same ink.

Or if you have a friend or relative who owns a Prime, he can include 5 friends or relatives and you can use your account as Prime for buying - no movies, etc.... This feature is not well known.

Thank you so much for sharing this hidden gem of info.

Shopping on Amazon has been more challenging ever since they increased the minimum for free shipping from $25 to $35.

I've been keeping some low value "filler" items (stuff I'll eventually want but not critical that I have -right now-) in my cart just to help me meet the free shipping requirements.

Glad someone can use this information. My sister has Prime and did not know about it until a neighbor told us. i hope many more take advantage of this. Prime users are paying a lot for this.
