Clairefontaine Life Unplugged Pocket notebooks

So I've been using the CF life unplugged notebooks now for quite some time and I love them, but, I have always loved graph paper over lined paper. I just like it. I wanted to see if they made the CF life unplugged series in a graph paper finish. They don't! crybaby.gif They have other series in graph paper but all of them are the top-bound which I don't like. If only they made the life unplugged in graph, I'd buy them by the truckload... Anyone else like the graph paper? Maybe if we can get enough requests they might change things... hmm1.gif

If I look to my left I can see two Life Unplugged Duo notebooks (7.5x12cm, c. A7) which are definitely squared paper. They also make the Roadbook (9x14cm, c. A6) with squared paper. At least, they do in the UK, and presumably Europe. I got mine from The Writing Desk - http://www.thewritingdesk.co.uk/clairefontaine.php

NB this point has come up before, but what USA folk call "graph paper" we tend to call "squared paper" over here if it's a largish grid, say 5mm squares, with "graph paper" meaning a much finer grid with subdivisions.

you may also want to look into the rhodia Unlimited notebook. 60 sheet instead of 48, glued spine but graph paper.... and the new soft touch cover with and elastic closure strap.

--or--

The cf side staple bound only comes in the 6x8 size for graph (c63682)

I'll throw in my two cents, too: I've been using these Clairefontaine clothbound notebooks to take notes in class and in the lab, and I love them. I use the lined version for class notes, and the French rule for lab work, so I don't have any actual experience with their graphed version. If it's like the other two versions, though--and there's no reason to believe that it isn't--it should be great. Perhaps this is worth looking at?

(No affiliation with gouletpens.com, as usual--just another very satisfied customer.)

Too bad though, the life unplugged CF graphs are UK only... Well, that's okay, I'll be looking into some options thanks to you all. I might try the rhodias. hmm1.gif hmmm....

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
