Do we know how many are coming?

I am supposed to call to confirm our prior reservation for the big table.

Can't answer your question about the reservation but I am confirming that I will attend!

My apologies guys but I seem to be under the weather today and since I'm sneezing a fair bit, thought I'd keep my germs home. Really wanted to be there but such is life. See you in December. :crybaby:

No matter MrsW, Gerry brought his germs in your place, so I shall probably be enjoying them tomorrow.

Hi Folks,

New to the site. I have some pens I'm interested in selling and I figured I'd try locally rather than go through the online hassles.

What I have is an Agatha Christie, (ser. # 02237/300000), no box, no papers but in beautiful condition, as well as a MB Meisterstuck 164 Ballpoint, (ser. # PV2790789), another MB fountain that I

haven't been able to identify but frankly, it's not in really good shape, ( it does have the white star on the top of the cap and bottom as well though and has 750 marked on the gold nib). There are

also 4 Sheaffer Vintage No Nonsense pens, ( 1 gold and 3 silver), a vintage nudie pen, (I think it's U.S. made not Danish, & not the greatest shape), and a couple of others that I bought over the years

that looked vintage and cool to me but they have no markings.

If anyone is interested in getting together to have a look , you can contact me at bobinottawa@hotmail.com. for my #.

For what it's worth, I'm the Bob Jones that managed the old Barrymore's if anyone remembers.

Thanks for your time,

Bob

Hi Bob nice to meet you. I hated Barrymores because it was too loud to enjoy. I hope we will see you at the next meeting. I will make sure to tell Mike about your pens they are the kind he is interested in. Mike will likely be able to ID the MB you do not recognize.

Hi Bob,

I quite enjoyed the times I was at Barrymores - except for the time Over the Garden Wall was a no-show. In fact, the David Lindley (and el rayo x) show was the high point of that year for me. I hope to see you at our next Ottawa Pen Posse meet...

At noon in the RA center restaurant. I think it is called the Fieldhouse. The RA Center is on Riverside close to Bank.

I look forward to it. I'll be there with a few new acquisitions. Have a few new inks in the pink tones and an orange too, all Noodlers. :clap1:

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
