Mrs. Weetag, we meet here:

http://www.racentre.com/raweb/e/events/fieldhouse.html

I look forward to seeing you at some future meet. Keep checking the thread I guess.

@Black Rose. The sixteenth makes more sense.

Umm, what time do you meet on Sundays?

Great! Should be able to make it in October. Will try to entice the hubby. ;)

Well, I won't be able to make it to the meeting on Sunday :crybaby: I have to attend a fundraiser for my son's hockey team. Bummer!!!

Thanks! I had a great time. It's nice to show pens to folks who do more than say "mm, nice" and that's it. Lol. Loved the Akkerman bottles those are really cool! It was nice to get to see and try some of the pens frequently mentioned here like the Easterbrooks and the Heros. Will look forward to the next meeting.

It was good to see Mrs. (and Mr.) Weetag... and her lovely pens, that Waterman stub was an amazing nib... and the Montblanc green ink was pretty sweet too. Thank you Scrawler, not just for the ink, but the 2668 in your lovely Transitional Estie... The nib comparison with the worn out 2668... Good to know the difference... And a cool ink blend too. It looks better at home with better lighting. Thanks also to Black Rose for not giving away the F1 results :)

Actually it was my wife (Maharet) that knew the results, not me :)

I didn't find out until I watched the race last night.

Hey guys, long time no chat. I am sorry that I have been so absent from the posse but life has a way of taking up my time.

I haven't been able to pursue my pen hobby as much as I would like and as a result I have a few pens, inks and paper that I would like to unload. I would open the offer to posse members first as it would save time and $$$ on shipping. If you are interested in some stuff send me a PM and I will send you a list of what is available.

Hope all is well.

Ok, so Sunday the 13th of November it is!

Scrawler, I'll have a nice little Sheaffer stub to show you! Also, I've acquired some small lab vials so your daughter will be able to take home some Noodler's Blue Ghost to try out.

Who is interested in trying a Parker Ingenuity? If there is any ink left in it after my testing I will bring it for you all to try. I may well need to find a source of a refill for it before the 13th.

fotographic, I bought a UV flashlamp on ebay for about $2.00 and will bring it so we can all have fun watching the Blue Ghost fluoresce.

I would certainly be interested in trying out the Ingenuity. I was curious about this pen. Did I understand correctly that the cartridge comes with the nib or something?

Look forward to the meeting.

Hi MrsW, the nib is actually a cowling or hood that is attached to the section. The cartridge is inserted into the section in pretty much the same way as a Parker ball point refill. The cartridge has fins that look like a feed and aligns the writing tip under the hood. In the case of this instrument a hand held up close demo is worth a thousand words of description.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
