Mont Blanc 202 ? Black

Hello to you all.........

 

is there anyone who knows anything about this montblanc there are 202 behind the pen ? I can not find any info on this.

The pen look´s old and it is black please see picture

Hi Lars,

 

Yes, you have a small Montblanc #202 fountain pen which was produced in Denmark between 1950 and 1954.

It's a piston filler, the body is made from plastic and it should have a 14 carat gold nib. The size suits a lady's hand.

Is a Danish 202. I have the same pen but in coral red colour, that was very common for the serie 200 (202/204/206) made in Denmark in the 50's, for nationalist reasons.

I have got a danish 246 which is a piston filler, the danish 242 and 244 are also piston fillers.

Also: are either the 20X or 21X considered more/less desirable, and if so why, or are they pretty much the same?

By the way. That's not plastic; it is celluloid, and the same should be in the black 202.

That´s right, according to "the book" they are celluloid.

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time
