Cartridges For A Noblesse.

Hi, yesterday I dug out a pen I bought from Battersea Pen Home many years ago. For some reason I put it away and never used it.I think maybe because it appears to have a broad oblique (gold) nib.

Anyway, its one of those Gold reeded bodies, could be a SL. The pen has a snowflake on the end of the cap and on the bottom of the pen but not on the clip.

The clip is solid but tapered to the end.It looks like a nice pen. Feels good in the hand but I dont have any refills. What will it take? Clearly not the bag of 20 for 40p Tesco ones I bought today

I have 2 Noblesses. One NOS came with a converter and cartridges; the other used Noblesse only had cartridges. I went to my local MB store (who had an in-store trained pen repair technician) to see if I could get a converter for the used pen. To make a long story short, after the pen was sent to Texas and then Germany, that model of Noblesse was unable to accept a converter. I was still very happy because its many trips around the world and having a broken star replaced was all free.

So...your model of Noblesse may or may not be able to accept a converter and you'll have to buy or refill cartridges.

Arty,

You have a Montblanc Noblesse from the first series (not a SL), made between 1975 and 1981. It takes standard cartridges and you can use a standard converter as well.

Thank you. When you "standard "cartridges and converter do you mean standard-specially for MB cartridges?

or just any only cartridge?

Quite nice isn't it?

maybe I could get the nib changed if I cant write with the broad oblique .

Standard as the International or Waterman standard.

In the UK, you can buy International Standard cartridges from branches of W H Smith. Sold (cheaply) in bags, usually available in blue or black.

I have been using Waterman black ink cartridge in mine.

All I could find at the office supply store were Waterman and Sheaffer, and after reading up here about both inks, I went with the Waterman, since I don't find any MontBlanc cartridges stocked at any office stores in the area.

So far, no problems.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
