Some amazing designs, here. Before someone asks the question, no idea if the nib is made in-house. They look Bock to me, but....

I would buy these pens in a flash apart from that minor obstacle of price! They are so French and ironic.

Does anyone own one? How do they write?

I have an Attila, with a steel nib which had been Binderized to a stub a couple of owners back (and subsequently repaired by Michael Masuyama when it did a dive straight down onto the kitchen floor). It's a cute, fun little pen.

My one objection to these pens is that there seems to be no converter that will fit in them, so one is stuck with cartridges. Even when the bodies are long enough for a short converter, there's not enough space in the interior for anything other than a cartridge. ):

The Limited Editions have a deposit and are filled by a thingy called " Ink Pump"

what do these things cost? who sells them? I could not work this out on their website (i am a technofool).

needless to say they are the apex of kitch, but since i tend to like over-engineering they are compelling and attractive (in a somewhat horrifying way) - i mean, who needs a pen with 300 rivets holding it together? I might. moreover, whip one of these out in a meeting and everyone will remember the event even if they start calling one Captain Nemo.

Prices are not published, as they seem to be in the range of "if you need to ask, you can't afford it". If you're interested in one, you will have to contact them through their web, I believe each pen, besides an LE, has custom work done for each customer. This link may give you a price range reference; http://www.penboutique.com/showproduct.aspx?ProductID=3633&SEName=jean-pierre-lepin-titanic-black-pink-gold-finish-fountain-pen

And I just saw Deirdre beated me and had a thread on them from some years back, where price is mentioned; https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php?/topic/81994-jean-pierre-lepines-newest/

You know, I find them very attractive, specially (and like Deirdre), the Titanic, Graphiscaph and Cybergraph.

Can't say I like very many of them, but that Cybergraph has a certain, odd appeal.

And some people complain about the Safari grip... ;)

When you're good at it, it's really miserable.

I cannot help but smile when I see a Lepine creation. I would not own one, in fact I do not think I could even afford one, but they are fun to look at. I have zero idea how they write.

i wrote to the manufacturers and they replied swiftly - the ones that look like Captain Nemo's submarine, or the bridge of Admiral Dewey's flagship, cost 3-4.5 thousand euros. which seems a lot to spend on a joke. fun yes, flamboyant yes, kitch of course, but still a rather costly joke. (costing, say, eight urushi Nakayas).

Saw these for the first time a few weeks ago. There so over-the-top and geeky, I have to find a way to get one.

Origami Ink in Asheville, NC has a few of the tamer ones. [no aff, etc.]

None of this tame stuff; if I find a way to afford it, I'll go for the geekiest one: the graphyscaf. wink.gif

I have two of their lower-end pens. Both write beautifully. The point above, however, about them not taking converters... It's true, and just strange. Just can't find a converter tha will fit, *even though* two international cartrides will fit in if placed butt-to-butt (as normal). I always assumed that if you could fit two international cartridges in a pen, then you could fit a converter. Even measuring those two options side-by-side, by eye, it looks as if it should be dead equivalent. But can I get a converter to work in my big, chunky Lepine Winston? Nope.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
