Sewn Or Stapled A7 Notebooks?

I realise there's only a few of us from Singapore here, but thought it worth asking if anyone knows of a place to get sewn or stapled A7 sized notebooks? Glued A7 can be found in many places, but in my search of a few places along Orchard (Kinokuniya, NBC, art store) didn't turn up anything.

Cheers,

You can probably get an A7 Rhodia pad, but they aren't notebooks as such.

I have a couple of little stapled Clairefontaine Life Unplugged Duo notebooks, which are almost A7 - they're 75x120mm rather than 74x105mm. Good quality gridded paper, 24 sheets each, come in packs of two.

I'm surprised you didn't find any in Kinokuniya. I found nice little Apica A7 notebooks (model CD5N) at my Kinokuniya in the Sydney CBD.

They are folded and sewn and are quite robust. I have been carrying one around for the past two years, in various pockets, including hip pockets getting sat upon, and while it looks a little battered, it is still in good working order. No stitching coming undone or cover coming loose. These are very FP friendly, like all the Apica notebooks.

I carry one all day every day.

Me, too: and a spare in my briefcase.

  • 2 weeks later...

I bought an A4 ream of paper from a photocopying shop and asked them to cut it to A6 size. They charged me a couple of dollars to do it. I then bought a long reach stapler from Popular at Bras Basah complex.

By placing about 15-20 sheets together, stapling the centre and folding into 2, you'll get an A7 notebook.

If u want a cover for it, just use the advertisement mailer cards that often comes in the post.

Or see this PocketMod site to make an 8 page A7 size notebook from an A4 sheet.

If you wish an honest to God A7 or A8 Molie clone, black cover, Elastic strap, ribbon marker, back inside pocket....I've got the answer for you. PSN in the Netherlands. Young Fellow in sales, whose name I'm sorry to say escapes me at this moment, was nice enough to ship me a few all the way to New Mexico, Hew Ess Ahay. Came in mail, at not too bad a price. Work well with my XF Sheaffer Tuckie and XXF Binderized Pelikan 205, using Waterman SS Blue or Parker Black Quink. Does show through with MB Red Love Letters and Noodlers Widow Maker. I had my bank transfer money to their bank, as they don't take, Visa , MC, AMEX, Pay Pal or cheques. Think my bank reamed me for $30 American. They have a web site and contact EMail address is the way I went. Also have A6 sized Pocket Notebooks in Multi Colour Covers. A7 are 192 Pages, 80 Gm Paper, Hard Cover. YMMV, Jim

PSN Notebooks will Google you there but presign.com will do it quicker. A7 and A8 on page 2 of opening window. Please note A4 on web site shows , about half way down on page 2 next to A8, shows a small notebook. This is in reality NOT an A4 size its mislabeled, it's an A7 size notebook. PSN was easy to do business with quick to work with a single buyer. I bought a total of 4 notebooks IIRC. Hope this helps, Steve. Have a great Spring weekend, Jim

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
