Today I inked up a Parker 41 and will use this pen for a few weeks before cleaning it and putting it back into my grandpa's Parker tool chest.

How many pens do I need, is not the question.

I looked at the thread title on this and thought, what a cool thread, wonder who started it. Then I looked over and saw it was me! :clap1:

Anyway, now that its resurfaced, here are the two I'm using today. Not my normal vacs or 51s, but a pair of challengers.

A modern Sonnet, black and chrome. Inked with 1:1 mixture of Noodler's Bad Blue Heron and Bad Black Moccasin.

I've got a Cedar Blue (T6) "51" Vac with a sumptuous XF nib and a Lustraloy cap with a silver clip that's loaded up with Iroshizuku Asa Gao, and a 1936 Silver Pearl Standard with a slightly odd F nib that's loaded with it too. With apologies to Tom Pike, who did such an outstanding job of restoring that "51", I don't use it nearly enough (mainly because I know how upset I would be if something were to happen to it)...but every time I put ink in it, I fall in love with it all over again. :)

Today, I inked up my recently acquired Parker 51 in Nassau Green with Noodler's Hunter Green. Pen has a coin silver cap, and was made in the 1st quarter of 1945.

Also, have inked a Parker Sr. Duofold in Lapis Lazuli (Blue on Blue) with super flexible modified nib by John Mottishaw (at least that's what the guy I bought it from told me). I am using J. Herbin Cafe des Iles in this one.

*sigh*

I just have 2 Parker 45 with a M 14K nibs inked at the moment, one in olive green with a stainless cap and a black one with GP cap and fittings

I also have a first version 21 but it's in pristine shape so I only write with it occasionally and a 51 aromatic in dove gray. They stay at home. I come home and call them pressious from time to time...

The Parker Sonnet Cisele (1st generation) with a F nib is one of my daily writers. So it's on my desk today as well.

Not vintage, but I have a medium nibbed Parker 100 that I love. Currently inked with Noodler's Nikita. It feels like it has an ever so slight amount of tooth, and I really enjoy it. I have another one which is nice and smooth, but I prefer the toothier one.

I just got a Parker 61 in today's mail. It's maroon with the gold filled (Signet) cap. Only a few minutes of soaking with water and blowing out the old ink; first from one end and then from the other end, flushed it completely. I filled it with Noodler's Widowmaker and Ta-Da! It writes a perfect medium line.

If only all of my Ebay purchases had such a happy ending. I'm trying to find someone to repair my Sheaffer Jr. vac-fill so it's a relief to have a pen with a filling system that has no moving parts!

OH working WITH. I thought you meant working on. I just ordered a 51 barrel from Ernesto so I can repair one I've had for a long time and always meant to fix up.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
