Just now, Iroshizuki Kon-Peki.

"Hm, my pen isn't writing, what if I twist the converter up a bit -- TOO FAR TOO FAR." [splurt]

I'll come up with something eventually.

On this autumn day, my hands are the same colour as the leaves on the tree on my driveway... a beautiful orange-red. Thanks to Noodler's Apache Sunset.

Oddly enough my fingers are totally clean but there is a spot of Noodler's Zhivago glaring at me on the table from when I filled some Ink Exchange vials. Damn!

I did this just the other day though in a slightly different way...

"Hmm... This converter looks low, I'll put a little more ink in it." Normally I tip it up when I twist it so the air escapes and the ink stays in. I didn't do it this time... I held it upside down without even thinking twice about it... {ink drips all over hands...}

Today I am sparkling as I'm covered in Daler Rowney Pearlescent FW. Liques Acrylic Calligraphy ink (not sure about the name) in black and galactic blue.

I can wash off the black and the blue but the sparkle appears to linger.

I feel like a Twilight Vampire. I wonder if I can jump from tree to tree now and stop heavy trucks with my bare hands. :ninja:

Earlier today, some Iroshizuku Ku-Jaku Peacock gave me nice turquoise blue-green fintertips.

Later I filled a pen with Noodler's Bad Belted Kingfisher and got nice dark blue to blue-black stains on my fingertips.

No pens were leaking, no converters leaking, I just get inky fingers from the filling process taking ink from small bottles using a 3cc syringe & blunt needle, during wiping off bottle rims and syringe tips ink soaked through the paper towel onto my fingers.

All is well right now, all ink has been removed from hands & fingers using a dab-o'-Dawn dish washing liquid on a scratch-resistant scrubbing pad, so no more inky fingers [until next time, that is]!

“I view my fountain pens & inks as an artist might view their brushes and paints.

They flow across paper as a brush to canvas, transforming my thoughts into words and my words into art.

There is nothing else like it; the art of writing and the painting of words!”

I just discovered pilot blue.....

I love the bottle and now I love the ink!

Tested it for water resistance and I am really impressed!

Is Kung Te-Cheng a color?

Yes, it's a blue purple from Noodler's, supposedly the color used at the imperial Chinese court. It's an understated purple that's good for everyday use.

Right now I have Noodler's Turquoise, which I like quite a bit on the paper. I can't get it out of my cuticles, though, so it looks like my extremities aren't getting enough oxygen. :headsmack:

J. Herbin Perle Noire. My Esterbrook was unhappy that I neglected it, so it gave me a little present on my ring finger.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
