Yama Budo, as is the front of my shirt. The Monteverdi rolled off the desk and landed on my stomach this morning after filling.

Got the ink stains out of my shirt completey. This ink isn't bulletproof, but who writes official documents with reddish purple ink?

Various shades of purple - trying new J. Herbin Poussiere de Lune cartridges, dipping into a Goulet Pen sample of Diamine Damson, and refilling a pen with PR Tanzanite. Not sure how the purple fingerprints got on the rim of my white desk lamp, but there they are. Clearly not one of my better days for fine motor skills.

One finger (ring finger, left hand) covered in Noodler's Black Swan in Australian Roses. Ink went everywhere when I was trying to fix the converter on my Pilot Parallel.

I also have a pair of Visconti Traveling Inkwells arriving today. I'm expecting more ink explosions later.

Today my fingers are stained with Noodler's Habnero and Midway Green. Both samples that I wanted to try from Goulet......For whatever reason, I cannot fill from those vials without getting my fingers all over the rim of the vial. And for whatever reason, the rim of the vial always seems to have a very heavy layer of ink for me to put my fingers in

Oh well, just another day of writing.

Now if only Noodler's would make a refillable dry-erase marker, I would buy a lifetime supply....

Noodler's Bad Belted Kingfisher. I loaded up my Studio for work tomorrow and made a mess.

Baystate Blue. I must remember that the pen included with the bottle does NOT have a cap that unscrews...

Ever-Flo Blue-Black. Relatively smooth. I don't care for blue-black, but that's what my father used (Scripto), and the mere sight of it brings back memories. He had worn his 1950's Parker '51 nib until it looked oblique. As far as I can recall, he used the same one pen from 1948 until his death in 1994. Odd for just an ink hue to bring back old memories. The sense of smell is better at doing that. He also smelled like pipe tobacco.

CLEAN :D

I tried out the Traveling Inkwell, and had no issues with it. Got an exceptionally full fill on the Homo Sapiens too.

a nice colour... on paper, not so much on my hands, had a bit of an accident there :P

Getting the last of the Noodler's Whaler's Sepia out of the edge of my finger nail -- apparently I was a little "exuberant" with the brush pen this weekend (one of my daughter's friends is a penn geek and I am attempting to convert her to fountain pens, my daughter has already complained that ball points do not feel right any more thumbup.gif)

My fingers are oxbloody today, thanks to Diamine Oxblood. This ink doesn't look like a slaughter scene, but has just enough pazazz to make the printing interesting.

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.
    • Ceilidh
Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
