What Ink Do You Use In Your Twsbi

What ink are you using in your TWSBI? Is anything staining it? Anything flowing well?

My Go-To MB Toffee was alright.

PR Orange Crush was 'eh'.

PR Velvet Black was better.

So far, I've only used Aurora black, which just does not stain. I chose to load up the pen with Aurora because of this ink's non-staining properties. I wanted to go gentle at first. And, in addition, Aurora black is a very lubricating ink too, so my TWSBI writes quite smoothly for an F. I'm curious to see if other inks will feel so nice.

I know that I could have used a more flashy color, but actually, the black ink matches the black parts, so the color of the ink and parts actually make a nice marriage.

I would like to hear other people's experiences on what inks have and have NOT stained, for future reference.

I would prefer to try some colored inks too, but with no staining if at all possible.

For example, how are the Iroshizuku inks holding up in this respect?

Using Private Reserve Tanzanite right now. Previously, Noodler's Blue. Both have had no issues. I like the nib (F) on the TWSBI.

One holds Noodler's Black Moccasin Warder's ink and the other Noodler's #41 Brown. Sooner or later both will be changed but I don't know what the new inks will be or when the change will be made.

I have PR Ebony Purple in mine. It flows very well, because it is a very wet ink. I cannot tell if it is staining. I tried Cd'A Saffron and Pelikan Turquoise...none of those worked to my satisfaction. They were too dry in that nib.

MB Racing Green

Next up will be Diamine Majestic Blue

I find the pen to be a dry writer with the Racing Green, but I know that tends to be the way the ink behaves for me. I have inked enough pens with it for it to be a known quantity in my book.

PR Midnight Blue for me.

Waterman Florida Blue and Blue-Black were technically fine but both were too light from an EF nib.

Probably good choices in medium and fine nibs.

YMMV

I'm glad to read the variety of inks people are putting in their TWSBI's... I have some Sheaffer Vintage Blue-Black because I was too worried about staining problems. When I need to refill (and with a fine point and a large ink supply, it will be a

while, I'll branch out!

cheers

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
