@Astronymus thanks. Maybe, but next time is July 9, and I have nothing))

@inkstainedruth Hmmm. No virus reports! By the link is an article about last stamp selection with all 5 examples.

ps: Oh, I just saw that the link has been changed, I'm referring to the current one on focus.ua.

The new link worked.  Thanks to both Astronymus and Andrew_L.

I'm sorry that you didn't win, Andrew (I was definitely rooting for you), but I did like the one with the tractor towing the tank....

I'm sorry you got malware. But that page might have been fake. Not every warning is genuine. Might be ads or phishing. As long as you have some usual virus protection you should be safe.

I'm not upset, I'm happy for the author of "tractor" :)

@Andrew_L Do you get all your nibs custom ground to an UEF to do your artwork?  Stay safe.

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.

Hmmm.  Instead of the link about the poll, I got to some page saying that my computer was infected with malware.... 😞

Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

Yup, me too!  Fortunately, I have Norton running in the background at all times, and a thorough scan disclosed no threats.

No! I have several pens/nibs that were with European F and I left them like that. In general, of course, UEF is more convenient for drawing because it allows for more elegant and precise shading. For writing, I mostly use Flex nibs or Italics with size around M. I don't regrind someone else's pen if the owner doesn't want it, but I test it anyway)). Mostly I regrind those pens that I really like and I would like to use them more often than just once a year to look at their attractiveness and dip in ink once))

I don't have that, but I have MalwareBytes installed, and ran that last night and nothing was detected (I also have Ghostery installed) But it was a little startling to get that weird site AND to also NOT get to see the winning entries at first....  But the new link worked, and my laptop doesn't seem to have been infected with any nasty malware.

Then it was most likely an ad. Good. I have several blocking features in place for ads, cookies and malicious ware. That's propably why I didn't notice it. Sorry for the scare.

Or maybe we are being too naïve.

Cyberwarfare is one of the cornerstones of modern war. Point is, many sites (both in Ukraine and in countries that do not applaud the "other side") are being heavily attacked currently from original locations in the attacker's (or sympathetic with the attacker) sides.

That is just modern military action, which is why I bring it up (in the hope it is not infringing the forum rules: to the moderators, if you think this should be deleted, please do not hesitate, I'm all OK with this post being removed, it is not my intention to ignore the rules).

I'm witnessing cyberattacks everyday (no, I'm not naming the origin though I've been able to track most of them). It is a silent war fought in cyberspace, with continual wins and retreats.

So, it might have been a hacked page inserted with the intention of disrupting normal official government business that was restored as soon as the hacking was detected.

If you are to be ephemeral, leave a good scent.

By some miracle, although rather due to lack of experience, the face of Japanese woman that I took as theme turned into the face of European woman, for which I, of course, apologize to my Japanese readers.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
