Letters in from @BorisoftheStars and @jburchett

@Enkida, I am working on your letter, I'm on page six and ran out of things to say, but I just got a box of ink, so.... I'm sure we'll be able to meet my standard book-ish number of pages soon..... 😃

Ah well, I put a 2nd letter in the mail as well, @Kari Homan Shannon!  I might slow down a bit after this so our letters won't be crossing the streams so to speak, though I always seem to run out of paper weight "space" before I can answer your letters fully.  Psst, both letters were 1 or 2 grams overweight, let's see how pedantic our post office over here gets about that... :P

Well, that's a coincidence... I hadn't been online for a few days, so at the EXACT moment I read this, I heard something dropping in the mailbox. It was your card. It seems that took a lot less long to get here, than my letter to you did.

Thank you!  I'm doing a lot better, but the spouse is suffering from a not so great bout of long COVID, so super busy here.  I'm int he process of actually answering Mark's letter right now, but so far I haven't finished!

... I also discovered that 14 of my TWSBI Ecos had cracked sections just a day or so ago and am still recovering from the (not entirely unexpected?) shock and de-inking process.  :-(

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.

Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
