Already reported this to eBay but thought it was worth posting. If you check their feedback they sold another horrendous fake not too long ago. Sad.

Despite the fact that this pen was not produced in a Rollerball, or red lacquer, it's scary in it's generally similar appearance to the real thing.

Hard times don't last, but hard people do.

Wow, they are getting good aren't they... Pen looks kind of cool... I feel bad for whoever wins it... I hate to say this, because its not necessarily ebay policy, but when they used to show who was the highest bidder, if I saw a fake, I would always send a message to let people know... I just always felt so bad for people...

Since Ebay never seems to do anything, at least before you tell the people bidding...

Whoever produced this fake is not good at maths either as the number of ballpoint pens produced was 12,000 with an additional 4,500 in sets. In either case the edition number is not 18,500.

Look at the feedback and some of the past items sold. It seems that there are some people who already got ripped off.

Current:

MB Agatha Christie Vermeil 1053/4810 M nib

Old Style Namiki VP M nib

On the Way:

Twin Girls...of the human variety. No pens are on the way, and probably won't be for a while.

The Wanted Queue:

ST Dupont Defi Carbon Fibre FP/RB

MB Starwalker Fineliner/RB/FP

MB 149

MB Boheme FP

ha, it's a pretty cool rollerball.

it's up to 220.50 now :/

at least they can appeal to paypal when they find out, if they find out, they bought a fake.

i seriously can't believe people do this -- i mean, i know they do, but still am repulsed by it.

This goes back to my comment the other day about educating yourself about the products you wish to buy from eBay. This appears to be a classic example of someone thinking they may be getting "a deal."

I can't seem to search eBay without finding a fake and the worst part is that people are actually bidding. I guess what Eric said is right.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
