Gold or Platinum?

I've been wanting to get the input of all of you MB lovers...

Which do you prefer, Gold or Platinum clips and rings on your MontBlanc?

I know this is subjective, but I am just collecting opinions.

Thanks

Both. If I had one, I'd want the other. : )

Yes! That's me also! However, even though I am a traditionalist when it comes to MB, I am beginning to lean towards the platinum. It looks really sharp.

I prefer Platinum.

My Meisterstück Set is platinum plated.

I find gold to look too warm.

I used to like white metals more. But now I like yellow and rose gold equally. There's something attractive about gold. Flesh of the Gods as it was thought to be in Ancient Egypt.

If it is a tradition looking pen (Meisteruck) then gold. If it is modern looking (Starwalker), the platinum. Also note that MB's gold plating isn't very yellow which I happen to like.

Platinum for me as well. For me, gold is too blingy and showy. Platinum looks more understated because there are many other less precious metals that look similar, i.e, silver, stainless steel, etc.

I prefer the gold on the traditional MBs. The platinum-plated ones don't quite have the same character to me.

I'm not a major fan of the yellow gold on the POA series - however the solid yelow gold of the Morgan 888 is awsome! Platinum just feels so heavy and seems to imbalance most pens. As for the Rose gold on the Julius 888 - wow :D

MB gold is classy looking , not like some of the gawdy gold on some brands. With platinum you can't go wrong, like say on the Graf. But you do pay extra.

Thanks

If I remember correctly, the only rose gold POA pen is the Catherine: plated for the 4810, and solid for the 888. Anyways, the Pope 888 is awesome in it's own way!

For most of the MS series I prefer the traditional gold.

But for some reason, I like the diminutive Mozart in platinum.

For the modern SW, platinum is of course more fittng.
