Did Mont Blanc ever make a burgundy colored Meisterstuck?

I bought a 149 (F) in Burgundy from a Mont Blanc shop in Hong Kong in 1993. Still my favourite pen. Beautifully smooth writer (I'm a lefty)

There's no bordeaux 149. It's probably a 146 you have.

There's a burgundy Chopin for sale in a shop near me. Hmmm ... I'm tempted .....

I chose my user name years ago - I have no links to BBS pens (other than owning one!)

I used to have a MB 146 in bordeaux with a luscious broad nib. I sold and miss it and this thread has whetted my appetite to go look for another one!

Thanks!

The bordeaux color was introduced on the 342 in the 50s. The 252 was released in four colors, one being red.

Hard times don't last, but hard people do.

Thank a Veteran.

Sorry for digging up an old thread, but this seemed the most relevant. Is there any way to ascertain if a bordeaux or burgundy Montblanc is authentic?

They only come in two trims now? Gold and chrome?

I assume its to keep up that image of a "luxury" brand. I mean ,to the general populace, would a yellow pen look high class?

I don't know, I kinda like yellow. LOL

Yes they did.I just bought an almost mint serial numbered Burgundy Meisterstuck 144 with a great Italic stub nib. Not often one finds in the wild any of the big name pens with a stub Italic nib rather than the standard XF-F-M-B.

Either you found a modified nib or a BB that is writing like a stub. I am pretty sure MB never made factory stubs or italics.

Bordeaux. Beautiful.

I keep thinking about selling some of my pens but all that happens is I keep acquiring more!

http://montblanc.parkerpens.org/montblanc.html This site tells me that the late 60s-70s era might have come in a burgundy. I've only seen the 221 in that color.

10 years on PFN! I feel old, but not as old as my pens.
