Does anyone know of any other refill that fits Omas 360 rollerball and ballpoint pens? I like a more vibrant blue than Omas offers.

Thank you.

You can use standard schmidt rollerball refills - just need to take a razor blade and slice off about a quarter inch of the plastic. Just put the refill next to your genuine Omas refill and you'll figure it out! Good luck and happy writing! --Chris

Many thanks Chris.

I have since figured out that Parker style refill will also work if you add a toothpick or wooden match stick at the end to brace the refill.

Have a great day.

I'll have to try the "matchstick" MacGuyver trick sometime with some of the Parker refills I have lying around! I checked my Omas 360 (Wild) today at the office and it's a Schmidt 8126 long capless refill that I use with about 3/16 of an inch shaved off the black plastic near the tip. Just need to make a circular cut and then then plastic pretty much pops off. Gotta get creative when you've got a pen you love but when Omas refills generally seem to retail for about $9 a pop!

Evan - So you got me thinking :hmm1: about these $9 Omas refills last night and I had a minor brainstorm :eureka: - why not just refill the cartridges rather than replacing? Kind of like refilling printer cartridges. It's usually a liquid-based ink inside the steel tube anyway (a fiber baffle or something serves as a wick and the ball prevents it from leaking out). I had a couple of Omas 360 empty refills sitting around and........ drum roll... works like a champ! Just pop the end off the tube (I used a small pliers), use an eyedropper and fill 'er up! I filled one with Private Reserve blue-back and another with Visconti black.

Be green! :bunny01: Recycle your rollerball refills! (Kinda makes me wish I hadn't thrown away all those refills in the past... :bonk:)

Thanks twincityskyline, I'm a bit late to the party but grateful to FPN and this thread as the popping off of the plastic tip on the Omas 360 refill works beautifully, amazing idea. I put MB Mystery Black and it's nice. BTW, these refills are now $11 and they were never really as good as Schmidt or Levenger and they're not discounted either. I have lousy performers also in blue, red and green.

I've searched and searched and finally found this thread about an OMAS 360 rollerball refill (standard size- not for the magnum or the mezzo).

Twincityskyline (back in 2009) was right- the Schmidt 8126 Long cap-less refill absolutely fits. Although I've found that you can shave the plastic "hood" near the rollerball tip with a razor rather than the back end which sits inside the blind cap for bracing. After removing that "hood", it's a perfect match in length.

Thanks for the recommendation to salvage my black 360 oversized rollerball and burgundy 360 large RB. I was re-filling Omas refills with FP ink with so-so results. I sought of ignored the Schmidt P8126 long capless refills (thread here) which do allow a clean slice off of a portion of the black plastic piece at the bottom of the barrel. I used an X-Acto knife. I now found them in a broad tip which is P8120 which should arrive today. They’re a perfect fit. Sorry to post years later but I achieved all this yesterday 1/11/22. 😊🙏

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
