I used Platinum Carbon Black ink and the ink drawings were colored using Pan Pastels, regular pastels and colored pencils!

I like using pastels as colors can be lightened or even changed after a lot of erasing BUT the pan pastels must be very high pigment as they were not as forgiving. I would not use then again for published work. Sometimes an editor/art director will want a color lightened so it will print better--the pan pastel really stained the paper in some spreads where I tried to lighten the color--regular Rembrant pastels are easier to change.

No just a beautiful steel Edison nib BUT you can always get Brian to make you a flex and send it to you --for a fee of course--that is not included in the prize!! One of my favorite flex nibs is from Brian.

Do they scan the artwork for printing? They can do the lightening on Photoshop.
