There will be a launch event in europe for the next great charcaters edition John F. Kennedy. Location is obviously the famous hotel Adlon in Berlin and I think it's a luxury hotel in the Berlin historic quarter. Would like to come over.

Curious as to the US roll out on this one, I contacted the boutique I shop at and this is the information they provided:

The US launch is scheduled for December. There will be 2 different versions – the limited edition 1917 and the special edition.

JFK 1917

Fountain Pen: $3,765

Rollerball: $3,385

Ballpoint: $3,255

JFK Special Edition

Fountain Pen: $1,035

Rollerball: $880

Ballpoint: $805

The special edition is navy blue with platinum-plated fittings. The limited edition is very striking, featuring a white lacquered guilloche barrel, navy blue cap, red accents and platinum-plated fittings. Both pieces have nautical elements inspired by his love of sailing. There will also be two sets of cufflinks and special navy blue JFK ink to go with this launch.

Delectable!

'The Yo-Yo maneuver is very difficult to explain. It was first perfected by the well-known Chinese fighter pilot Yo-Yo Noritake. He also found it difficult to explain, being quite devoid of English.

So we left it at that. He showed us the maneuver after a sort. B*****d stole my kill.'

-Squadron Leader K. G. Holland, RAF. WWII China.

Thanks drgriz. I saw photos recently at a Boutique. I was underwhelmed by the Special Edition, but the Limited Edition was very appealing.

I managed to take photos of them during a MB show in April. It's beautiful and I ordered a EF :)

I don't want to step on toes... but does anyone else thing that the clip makes it look like a Chinese knock-off? It is a super "basic" shape with like... comic sans...

Ya know, I was expecting more... That looks like a gussied up 144.

I will reserve judgement until I see it in person, but for a JFK pen I really was expecting a bit more. I'll have to hold out for the Woodrow Wilson I guess. :P

It looks like a cheap chinese counterfeit. This is just my point of view, and do not mean to be unpolite with anybody. Please forgive me.

Please excuse my poor english, but it is not my mothern language and maybe it is wrong my grammar. Any Suggestions are welcome.

Thanks for the pics, I like what I see so far. Could you tell me the size of the pen please?

Edited to add - is it a piston filler?

looks as if the Chinese replica makers had a lot of spare parts left and they decided on a design to use them.

no offence.

but this is one ugly pen. looks disproportionate, blingy, crooked logo cheap......it is not even steamlined...edges poping from all over the place.

anyways....just my personal opinion.

Thank you for sharing your photos.

I like this pen. It's nice to see MB playfully changing the designs of their pens.
