Nice to see another review of this ink. I think you've confirmed for me that this is not the ink for me, at least for now - I like blue, and green, but not both in the same ink. Thanks!

Thanks for the review. This is my favorite ink and I enjoy reading what others have to say about it. It looks like the right color on my monitor as well.

On my monitor, LL in that scan looks very like Diamine Teal. Would anyone who has seen both 'in the flesh' like to comment on how similar they are in reality?

Paul: I've both inks. They do look rather similar. LL is bluer, and this is especially noticeable in pens that tend toward shading. Teal is a greener in color, and when shaded will tend more towards a blacker color than LL. A lot of this I think is that the bulletproof inks, including Legal Lapis, are opaque inks and don't shade well- the color is more consistent than in traditional inks.

Never understood this particular ink. In my experience it feathers on most papers common inks don't. The black center of the line shading off to teal at the edges just strikes me as wierd.

For the last year I have been considering diluting my bottle about 10%, which might curtail the feathering and maybe put a drop of black in it to get it more toward other ink's behavior.

As always, YMMV........

(O/T) Stupid question of the week - I have seen this before, but I'll ask while I'm thinking of it:

Why is "Q-Tip" spelled as "Cutip"?

We are talking about the things you clean your ears with, right?

My order from Pendemonium just arrived today. I like so far because it seems to have different color characteristics in different lights and on different papers. I like it....

I got a bottle, and its nice, but not very behaved for my Safari's. Kind of gloopy. Not really sure about this ink, though I do like the color.

Pens I own: Waterman Hemisphere F, Pelikan Epoch M, Parker Frontier Luna Purple M, 9 Lamy Safaris, 2 Pelikan Futures, 2 Heros, Taccia Amethyst Mosaic M, Lamy 2000 B, Kaweco Sport B, Pelikan M101N Souveran

When I win the lottery: Montblanc Boheme Doue Collection - Pirourette with Lilac Stone FP

For me, LL does not work well in my Safaris. (It just doesn't want to flow, so the pen is extremely dry; in other pens the ink is great.) YMMV.

Thanks - that was a great comparison. I am searching all over and can't find "Legal Blue." Is it discontinued? If so, is there another blue that is as "safe" as Bulletproof Black or Legal Lapiz (which I really do not care for!)?

There's the swisher pens exclusive Noodler's Aquamarine. A basic bulletproof blue. There's also Fountainpenhospital's Noodler's Henry Hudson blue.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
