Place: Fort Madison on the banks of 'ol Muddy

THANK YOU! THANK YOU all who bought Legal Lapis, and other things, too :-)

Just to confirm since I've had 3 inquiries one right after another .... we are once again sold out of Legal Lapis. I don't think it will take so long to get our next batch, we're also getting ready to order Violet Vote again soon. I don't know exactly when LL and VV will arrive because I have yet to be able to determine when the next mega economic burp will occur and stymie sales temporarily and continue to turn my hair gray!

What we did this last time around was take orders in advance for Legal Lapis. If you ordered with cc info, it was a firm order and your ink was the first to be shipped. We don't ever charge anyone's cc in advance, not until we're ready to ship, that goes for LL or whatever you might order. If you e'd me and said I want some, we sent out an email when we knew the ink was enroute and suggested ordering it now. Just in case we followed with a second email right before the ink arrived. 150 bottles of Legal Lapis are now in the hands (and hopefully the pens!) of people now.

If you want to get in on the next batch, I think we'll work it the same way. email me: sam@pendemonium.com

Wow, that seems like a lot of ink sold very quickly. Thanks again to Pendemonium for supplying such a wonderful ink! I am really glad I ordered mine when I did!

Sam and Frank: Hope things work well enough for you to be able to get more of this stuff in stock! We really appreciate you guys supplying us (even if our posts sometimes don't reflect it)!!!

Well for you, if you wrestle on, for in persistency lies victory, and with the morning may come the wished-for blessing. But not always; there is a struggle with defeat which some of you will have to bear, and it will be well for you if you have cultivated a cheerful equanimity. Remember, too, that sometimes 'from our desolation only does the better life begin.' Even with disaster ahead, it is better to face them with a smile, and with the head erect, than to crouch at their approach. And, if the fight is for principle and justice, even when failure seems certain, where many have failed before, cling to your ideal, and, like Childe Roland before the dark tower, set the slug-horn to your lips, blow the challenge, and calmly await the conflict.

I admit it: I hoarded. That said, I'm not the only one, I'm sure.

Everyone else had the same chance to pre-order. You're not hoarding. You are entitled to guilt-free gloating.

Wish I had hoarded. At least I did get my one bottle and I feel like 3 oz. will last me longer than I think.

I admit. I hoarded as well. I'll probably hoard Violet Vote as well when it comes out!

I, too, had hoarded. Haven't received my order yet, but just emailed Sam to put me on the list for more. The stuff sells out too darned fast for me to worry about going through my 6 bottles of it too quickly...

Agreed. Though, that is coming from one who got his order in before they ran out. I might feel differently if I hadn't gotten any.

I am happy and sad to hear that LL has sold out once again. I am sad as I did not buy any thinking that it might last a little longer. One cannot always time one's purchases perfectly. I am happy to hear that it sold out because that suggests that demand is high and hopefully another batch or many more batches will be available in the future. LL is a beautiful but functional colour.

Great ink! I loaded up my little wartime Parker Duofold yesterday and it writes superbly on this recycled copy paper we use at work. A little nib creep. But I am accustomed to that with this wet writer. I will be ordering more. :)

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
