Hi Hari,

You surely put in good efforts for the review there, thanks!

I just ordered an SD on amazon.in

As I stay in Delhi, could you tell if Wality pens can be found here?

Thanks again!

Well done on getting the SD. I have no idea about Wality in Delhi, but not to despair, there are many new members on FPN now, who are from the Delhi/NCR region and they might be able to help you out.

In case you wish to write to me, pls use ONLY email by clicking here. I do not check PMs. Thank you.

Amazing review of not so exciting pen

Thank you. Some of us were pretty excited about the pen actually, way back in 2009.

I personally feel, whenever I use it that design is unique. It seems that may Late S.D was infact a stout built man with impressive personality!

Just my impression.

As I am using it after long gap filled with Pelikan Blue-Black. Other 3pens in MB 3 pen pouch MB149 (MB Blue), Izumo (MB Brown), Sailor PG(Pel Green+Pel Brown mix). SD is giving tough challenge to famous three!

Hi,

You can get Wality pens from asapens.in, I got my Wality 70T from them just yesterday.

I finally found a couple of SD's here in a local pen store in Bangalore. However, disappointingly both the pens wrote with a scratchy noise. The writing itself was very smooth, however there was a distinctive scratchy noise as one wrote with them.

Has anyone else also faced a similar issue?

Not to hijack this thread, but does anyone know where I can buy this pen in the USA or someplace that would be willing to ship it to the USA? I would also consider buying a used one. They are pretty hard to find.

WTT: Conklin Nozac Cursive Italic & Edison Beaumont Broad for Pelikan M1000 or Something Cool (PM me to discuss. It's part of my One Red Fountain Pen trading post)

WTB: 1. Camlin SD

2. 1950s to early 1960s 1st Gen MB 149 with BB nib

3. Airmail 90T Teal Swirl

4. PenBBS 355-16SF Demonstrator

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.
    • Ceilidh
Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
