I've always liked this ink. I don't like it as much as Waterman Florida Blue or Sheaffer Blue, but I keep a bottle around to use in my Montblanc pens.

A well behaved, smooth flowing ink. Not as dark as some might like, but still a very traditional type of blue.

I bought about six boxes of this Royal Blue ink a little over 20 years ago, then tossed them into a drawer and forgot about them. After sucking out the ink from a few cartridges recently, I'd relabel them "Royal Blechh". They turned into a muddy blue black. But the ink looks great on your picture, chkuo...

I find that Mont Blanc inks dry and "corrode" in the pen much more and fr faster than other inks. Anyone else feel the same?

Blue - I have used Montbalnc blue over a little period (when I couldn't get blue-black).

 

Its a nice "powerful" blue - I think it flows "wetter" from my Meisterstück than Blue-Black...

 

Ink drying or oxidising in pens - no problem for me...

 

Drying on paper - depends on how wet/dry your pen writes really, if it puts down a lot of ink it'll dry slowly.

Does it really corrode the pen? MB recommends using their inks for their pens (a warranty can be voided if it finds out you are using non-MB ink and the warranty claim is related to that ink). I thought all of MB inks are safe to their fine nibs and entire feed / piston system (and to other brand pens).
