Guy's reviews of the brand new Diamine Majestic Blue and Onyx Black inks made me look them at the Diamine website.

So far i found the following new (for me) inks:

Majestic Blue

http://www.diamineinks.co.uk/images/items/10577.gif

Onyx Black

http://www.diamineinks.co.uk/images/items/10575.gif

Chocolate Brown

Pumpkin

Poppy Red

http://www.diamineinks.co.uk/images/items/10574.gif

(all pics by Diamine)

There may be more, but I'm not aware of them.

I'm still missing a Burgundy/Bordeaux colour by them. They are on their third black now, after Jet Black and Quartz Black.

Some names and inks resemble their counterparts by Private Reserve.

Anyway, nice additions.

Ooh. I like that chocolate brown. I will see if my local pen shop gets it in their next Diamine shipment. Thanks for posting that!

What is so great about Diamine is that after more than FIFTY inks, incredibly there are still some gaps and parts of the spectrum that are not as well represented as others. Which of course means that there is always new stuff to look forward to buying!

And in the UK, a 30ml 'tester' bottle (which of course is full size for the likes of Herbin & Caran d'Ache, but quite a lot easier to fit your M1000 in) costs about the same as a beer, so if I'm not going out of an evening, what could be nicer than to sit at the computer and buy a round of drinks for my pens? The box of mixed carts they chuck in is like free nibbles on the bar .... :roflmho:

I think these lightweight yet durable plastic bottles are great for travel, too.

So nice to hear about new inks. I suppose it would be unreasonable to hope that one of them might be a new iron gall ink?

It's not so bad in the States right about now, either. I think 4 of them works out to around $22 shipped if the currency converter I used is accurate.

I don't think I would ever use any of the rest of these lovely colors, so I'm thinking Majestic Blue, Kelly Green, Prussian Blue, and Damson. I just wonder when the Majestic Blue will be ready for order because it indicates "coming soon" on the website.

Hi Ada,

I think you'll find the Diamine Registrar's Ink is iron gall type. It is not new but has been around for a long time; I love the way it changes colour at different rates on different paper.

Chris,

Thanks for your post. Their Registrar's ink is a favorite of mine too, but hope springs eternal that they will come out with a new color of iron gall ink. The three colors I have are lovely, but I would still like more.

The chocolate looks fantastic. I've been planning to try some Diamine inks. Does anyone know if the smaller bottles are available in the U.S., or can they only be ordered from the U.K.?

I just got my first Diamine bottle yesteday---- Kelly Green. its a very nice popping Emerald color. I'd take a picture but my camera phone is awful...... It dries to a darker color I noticed.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
