Majestic Blue looks good.

 

Have filled my first pen with Majestic Blue and it will become one of my favourites!

Nice dark blue with good shading and well saturated.

Does anyone in Australia stock any of these?

Looks like it might fill the niche for Levenger Cobalt. Is it "true blue"? Most dark blues lean purple and that's why I loved Cobalt, it didn't. But Diamine inks are so good that if this was the same shade but with Diamine behavior, I'd snap some up.

No purple, no green, no cobalt, just true blue, darker in writing than in swabs. Does have some slight reddish reflection in the saturated parts of the line, like Sailor Blue or PR DC Electric Blue, but nevertheless a true darker blue.

The poppy and the chocolate are going to be mine! The dilemma right now is whether to order them from Britain or whether to wait for an online retailer to stock them. Also, have I just overlooked it, or are these not available in the 80 mL bottles yet?

The Diamine website shows they are available in 80ml bottles and in stock. I ordered the Majestic blue and 4 others from Diamine's website and received it in the USA in less than a week. And that was with a mistake on the order that required interaction via email. Great service and reasonable costs including shipping.

I just received the Pumpkin. What a great color. The name is appropriate as it really is a pumpkin color.

 

Typical Diamine ink - smooth, consistent with nice shading.

I have all these except the Majestic Blue and they are great, except for the Pumpkin. I love the color but it creates a "sludge" on the nib and feed of pens. Here is a picture of the end of my Aurora, ironically, the ink still flowed and wrote well despite the potentially clogging sludge.

I have found that this doesn't happen with all pens filled with Pumpkin. It seems that caps that seal very well when closed don't form the crystalline crust/sludge. For example, I have had Pumpkin in my Pelikan M1000 for a couple months with no issues, despite infrequent use. However, when I tried it in my Omas Tokyo, the crust problem started in just a couple days.

When trying it on a new pen, I tend to go with pens that have easy-to-disassemble (or remove) nibs/feeds in case a good cleaning ends up being needed.

But consider my dilemma, I had just received the Aurora Ipsilon (in orange) and the Diamine Pumpkin ink - I just had to use it in that pen, it was a perfect match.

There has been some problems with Pumpkin and crystalization. Take a look at this previous post. I'd suggest contacting Phil at Diamine Ink (FPN: Liverpool 1).

      Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

      It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

      Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

      Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

      @asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
