Parker 50 Falcon

The combined nib and section is a problem when you get one with a sprung nib. I have a gold Falcon and the tines were sprung when I got it. I have no idea how to take out the feed to work on closing up the slit.

Interesting review. As a Bristol lad I also couldn't help but be reminded of Concorde, which I used to see zipping across the skies sometimes on the way to school with my Parker 25.

 

Would not this dashing Sheaffer model, however, have carried a rather high risk of being nicked? A risk, indeed, directly proportionate to its coolness? Or did that sort of thing not go on in your school?

The Falcon is a Parker rather than Sheaffer but the Concorde comparison is well made (although I believe that Parker claim that the inspiration was a quill). Crime at my school tended to come with some fairly dire consequences for those who were caught...

Of course, Parker: don't know what I was thinking, except perhaps that I was reminded of an Sheaffer. Crime was severely punished at my school too, although that didn't seem to deter Parker 25 thieves much.

I saw this review browsing for another review and this Falcon has a beautiful shape. Lovely, modernistic pen! Thanks for an inspiring review. I might have to look into Parkers, at last (haven't had any Parker's since my early Vectors).

I think I just got this pen mint condition never before inked with a Parker squeeze bar.

I bought a couple of Falcons in the early 90s, I think--one s/s and one brown. It was pure chance that I picked them up since I was buying very few pens back then and I had no idea what they were or might eventually be worth. As was mentioned in this review, the clips are pretty fragile and the one on my brown Falcon came loose at the cap. Any ideas of how to fix it or who might be a good person to send it off to for repair?

Great review indeed, parker 50 is one of my favorite designs , i think the guy who designed it is a genius !
