New Noodlers Bulletproof Ink

Recommended Posts

I just got an email last night from Luxury Brands, the distributer of Noodlers and a few other brands of pens.

I am not really huge on green inks with the exception of PR Sherwood Green, Noodlers Army Green and Waterman Green. This is a perfect ink because it has somewhat the same color and saturation as PR Sherwood Green but with the Bulletproof characteristics and I assume that this will dry fairly quickly like other bulletproof and waterproof Noodlers Inks. One thing that I do not like is the very small amount that they give you for the money. It is only 30ml and you are paying around the same price as you woulf for a 3oz bottle.

Regardless, it is an ink I will look into buying. Although I dont use green that often, I might be using something like this more often. It takes PR Sherwood Green a very long time to dry and I find it one of the most smearable inks on the market. This seems like a wonderful replacement!!!

Check out the link and let me know what you think.

Do you think it will "creep" like some of the other permanent Noodler's colors, or have an odd smell like Luxury Blue (didn't a review here mention a strange smell for that ink?)

It probably will "creep" just like all the other cellulose-reactive Noodler's and Noodler's-for-Swisher inks.

That normally does not bother me one bit. The thing that really bothers me is when I get a cap full of ink. I have high hopes for this ink, I just hope that if it is as good as I think it is, I wish they would make it in larger bottles. I just like to get my money worth!!!

The cellulose-reactive Noodler's "creep" action doesn't bother me either.

About the price: I don't enjoy paying high prices per milliliter for ink, either. I guess Mr. Tardif is trying to keep his cashflow going, and I don't blame him.

I'm starting a new topic about ink prices, manufacturing and the difficulty of getting into major retail channels in "chatter.

I had hoped that the next bulletproof ink wouldn't have been the 1 oz boutique size ink but the full 3 oz'er. I'm sorry it is another speciality volume & price.

Oh well,

Yeah, like I said, I am not too happy about the small amount of ink for the amount of money we have to shell out for it. Oh well, what can you do?? Maybe with enough people whining and sending him emails, maybe he will decided to make it in the 3oz bottles. Hmm Wishful thinking!!! But then again, some manufacturers do listen to what the people want and it never hurts to at least ask!!! ;)

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
