My User Pens

These are my pens that are in rotation, I have them split into two teams, one rests while the other works. The ony ones that are always inked are my 51 and VP. You guys will probably recognize them all. As I said, nothing special but they get the job done.

My 1955 Parker 51. Its my first and only, I got it at the Toronto Pen Show from Pearce Jarvis (PenPalace on here)

My Gun-Metal Grey VP I got in Chicago at Century Pens, much thanks to Ed Hamilton and the Pilot/Namiki Rep. I got a nice rhodium plated nib on this, which Ed swapped over from the LE 2008 Lavender VP (A lady who was there got the LE but wanted a fine nib, so Ed gave me her medium. Otherwise he probably couldn't do that)

Jay, welcome to the board, and thanks for sharing your collection with us. Most of us get started this way, and I'll bet that there's a pretty decent-sized crew of us who have a VP and a 51 in our daily slots as well. I know I do. I own two 51s that see regular use; a Cedar Blue with an XXF nib and a Burgundy Aerometric that I ground into a stub myself. I've got a carbonesque blue VP that's rarely EVER empty.

Hope to see more stories about those pens when you get a chance! (Specifically, tell us about that 51 of yours...Pearce doesn't sell many of 'em on FPN and I'm always interested in hearing about some of the lower-profile restoration folks out there...especially, in this case, for our Canadian FPN'rs who may not like paying freight and waiting for shipments to come up there from the States!)

Nice pens. I'm a big fan of the Waterman Expert II (looks like you have two).

Regards,
