Wet, juicy ink OTHER than Tanzanite ?

I know PR Tanzanite is considered the wettest, juiciest ink to coax smoothness out of a balky writer. Are there other colors that have a similar reputation? I prefer something in the blue-to-purple range.

Thanks.

Current favorite pen: Montblanc 144 Meisterstuck purchased at Art Brown in 1984. After decades, every part has been replaced except the nib. Still a gorgeous writing instrument, rock-solid reliable, gives me hours of pleasure to use.

Current favorite ink: Colorverse Supernovs

Current favorite paper: Romeo notepads

Noodlers Luxury Blue is wet wet wet... in any pen I use it in but its a beautiful blue

J. Herbin Eclat de Saphir is pretty wet. Swisher's Dark Purple, J. Herbin Violette Pensee, and Levenger Amethyst, are all (in my limited experience) free-flowing purples.

Noodler's Eel Blue! Slippery as an eel, wet, flows, takes a while to dry, attractive. Really nice stuff, and it will make a mediocre pen write like possum fat on a frozen pond.

What about Waterman or Pelikan Violet, Diamine Damson or Imperial Purple or Noodler's Purple or La Coleur Royale, which is a 'blurple'.

Loads of choice. I also have CdA Storm, but find that a dry ink, especially in some tricky writers.

I find that other PR blues are pretty wet--such as Supershow Blue and Tropical Blue. Midnight Blues Fast Dry is a real gusher, really too much the couple of times that I tried it.

Aurora Blue has a reputation as being the smoothest and best-flowing ink around, and has a nice purplish-blue color.

I don't recall any issues with PR Blue Suede, but it has been a while since I've used it.

The Noodlers Bulletproof or Eternal inks are even wetter, IME. As far as blue/purple.........Luxury Blue and La Reine Mauve come to mind, but LRM is really purple. Luxury is NOT purplish though. LRM is very nice.

I've seen photos of Concord Grape and Mata Hari's Cordial, but no experience personally. OTOH, If CG is anything like Baystate Blue, it won't be used in my pens.i

I agree. Eclat de Saphir. It's not highly saturated, but it's oh, so nice to write with.

J. Herbin Eclat de Saphir is pretty wet.

Sailor Blue-Black is also a pretty wonderful ink.

For best free flowing ink nothing like Waterman and Herbin inks. Caran D'Ache is good too but at a higher price, as MontBlanc.

I'll second this for sure! It's also a great shade of blue. Due to the generosity of Strang, I've been able to try some Herbin inks and I've become a fan. I've done quite a bit of writing with my el cheapo Hero pens and had been using Montblanc black in one. I switched to the Herbin black and was surprised to see how much more smoothly it wrote. It's now my go-to black.
