For those looking for an alternative in North America to buy De Artamentis inks with out paying the insane shipping charges. Here is the link to Laywines.

Please note, they are not set up for E-commerce so you will have to call or email to inquire and complete the transaction.

Bill,

Thanks for this review. How accurate do you think your scan is to the true colour of this ink? I am loving the colour that is in your scan so if it's pretty true to life then I am definitely going to pick this up on my next trip to Laywines.

That is a pretty blue! What nib size did you use? Cos I'm noticing some lovely shading and wondering if the ink would shade like that with a fine or EF nib.

Hi Moravia,

Of all the blue ink reviews I have posted this has to be the most accurate scan, you will love this blue, trust me on this one.

Hello Bill,

if the colour of your scan is nearly real, it looks like the Sapphire blue from Parker. I will buy this pretty looking colour in the next days and will compare it with the Parker Sapphire blue.

In Germany the De Atramentis Ink costs only 9,- Euro

best regards,

M@rtin

love my Pelikan Souverän M605 & M400 Fountainpens, most of the time with Sapphire blue ..

I wish this were available in the US. $28.00 for 1 bottle delivered (per Laywine's) is too steep for me.

Bill, I have been wanting to try this ink ever since you posted this review. I finally purchased some last week and am very pleased with the colour -- it is the exact colour of your scan. Thank you for the review!

Is this ink waterproof?

I'd like to know too, this ink is gorgeous!
