All the time! I am short, luckily, but still clumsy. Constantly have eggs on head!

I've been meaning to post this for a few months now. Took the photo in December, early in the morning before I got into anything heavy. I do the clean-desk thing at the end of every work day, so this is how it looks every morning.

Fountain pens, aside from the Parker "51" desk set, are in a 5-pen Libelle case just on the other side of the editor's desk, and you can just see a "RTFM" mug peeking out over the top of the chair. smile.gif

Well...my desk, more like OUR desk, as my twin brother and I share our collection on one desk, is organized and has basically only fountain pen related stuff to it. It is exclusively our collection, minus the "school" pens we use. Not that they are "school-grade" (no pun intended), but rather just the pens we use at school. Anyway...enjoy! This is my mom's dad's mom's, or my great-grandmother's, desk. We painted a while back and it is already chipping. I want to stain it back to its original finish. Maybe someday when I get the time (and my dad's help) to remove the paint, sand it, stain it, and finish it. Okay, here goes!

Please forgive me for having it so clean.

I do not forgive you for having it so clean. You make me look like a slob. Which I am, actually. :ltcapd: :roller1:

Seriously, that's a fantastic view to look out to when working! I'd never get anything done with that kind of view. I'd always be looking out. :)

Here's a couple....quick and dirty:

I think that your quote is not Paulo Coello's, but Richard Bach's. Just a guess

I have several desks around the house that I use depending on what I'm doing. This however is my main desk in my home-office upstairs which I use fairly often. As the photo shows, it's not really my desk though, is it? :)

Talking about fountain pens is like dancing about architecture.

Hi to all,

at least this is my desk. I had never posted a pic of it because I was waiting for my new macbook pro. Now my desk is ok, what do you think?

Well, this thread has been an inspiration for me. It caused a revamp of my entire office. I work from home and have 2 desks in my office. My writing desk (big one) and a work/computer desk (small one). Previously, it was the other way around, but I think it works much better this way. I thought I was being so clever about putting the desktop picture of my writing desktop onto my Computer desktop which is sitting on my work desk top... Ho hum. Nobody else seems to think that it is amusing, though.

I have never posted a photo here before, but I spent the weekend reading the instructions on re-sizing and what not, so if it is done wrong, please be nice... I tried.

Edited to include that the watch and parking meter are in working order. I use the watch to (obviously) tell time and the parking meter because it is cool (in my universe, anyway). I lose track of time, so I fill it with, say 1 hour when I eat my lunch at my writing desk so I don't go overtime whilst reading or whatever. Very useful.

The cat's name is Alex and she hasn't yet figured out how to play hockey with the Visconti inkpot...

Why, sometimes I'd like to take a switchblade and a peppermint and a Cadillac and throw it all in a fire.

There are an awful lot of very clean desks in these photos -- just computers, pens, cell phones, and an ink bottle or two. DON'T ANY OF YOU PEOPLE HAVE STACKS OF PAPER???? What's the point of owning all those fountain pens if you only use computers?

Just wondering.... and trying to figure out why MY desk never looks clean like these other desks.....

Yeah you are right. As soon as possible I will post a pic of my desk while working, with a notepal s of Cooler Master and a lot of papers. I'm just trying to enjoy the order as much as I can. :)

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
