Demi Moore and the Parker 51

I was really pleased to see the movie Flawless with Demi Moore and Michael Caine.

In the movie you can see very clearly more then few times Demi is using a Parker 51 including a nice closeup of the pen at the end.

I love seeing FP's in the movies.

Maybe that was the point? Demi using a Demi? Some production assistant tasked with finding a classy pen pitched it to some higher up thinking himself to be the new King of IMDB Irrelevancy?

I like to see fountain pens in movies. Here are some of the sightings I've had recently:

 

- In Kubrick's _The Killing_ one of the characters carries a bunch of pens in his jacket pocket. In one scene he grabs what looks like a parker jotter bp, but then in the next shot he's writing with a 51 fp (or 21), and then he puts the jotter back in his pocket.

 

- In _The Verdict_ Paul Newman uses what seems a Lamy 2000, but I'm not totally sure.

 

- In _The Exorcist_, father Merrit's helper uses what seems a Parker 51 or 21.

The same joke occurred to me as soon as I read the subject! Thank goodness rroossinck was there first to take the blame.

 

While I like to see fountain pens in any movie or public event, perhaps the Parker "51" (love the one I have) isn't ideal--I'd rather see a naked-nibbed (rated PG-13) pen so that more people would recognize what it is.
