converter for Ohto Tasche

Hi folks,

 

I'm looking into getting converters for my favorite cartridge pens.

 

I bought my Ohto Tasche, which I like quite a lot, from JetPens, but they don't list a converter for it. Is there a standard converter I can use, or does Ohto make one that's best for this pen?

The Ohto Tasche uses short international cartridges and there's only about 1/8 inch (about 3 mm) extra space beyond the catridge. The smallest converter I know of is the Monteverde, and it's much too long.

 

You might want to get a syringe and refill cartridges. The Write Fill kit has a syringe and a couple of needles. It's available from Pear Tree Pens.

I do own the write fill kit, and it already gets much use for those pens that I don't have or don't want to buy cartridges for. At least the Tasche takes international carts, so I can buy some interesting colors and then refill them.

Hmm... I'd have to whip out my pen to be sure, but that looks do-able. At that price, it may be worth the risk.

 

I've never heard of this company, though, and that's what makes me a tad skeptical.

I contacted them about this converter for my Ohto Tasche and they said it probably wouldn't fit. But you never know unless you try. They asked for a $20 minimum order so I haven't ordered one yet, and I don't like writing with it enough to order one anytime soon. I love the design but it's just not a good writer.

I had forgotten about that converter; it is smaller than the Monteverde. I got one from Tryphon once, so I dug it out and tried it in an Ohto Tasche. It's too long. The catalog site says it's 42 mm long but mine measured 45 mm. Even if it were three mm shorter it still wouldn't fit.

The first item on this page might fit the bill. I haven't tried it, but the description does say it'll fit most mini pens that take international cartridges. You could ask Todd for specific measurements; he's very responsive to email inquiries.
