Just thought I would say hi before I start asking all those stupid newbie questions.

I am (at the moment) a user of fountain pens, and rotate dependent on occasion a Rotring Newton, Montblanc Meisterstuck 146, and a Yard O Led Viceroy Grand Victorian.

I found this forum researching nib types as I want to try out the likes of stub and oblique nibs (still alot to learn here I am afraid) ...... pens that have caught my eye are the Montegrappa Privilege, the St Dupont Olympio, and Pelikan 1000, but I am open minded and here to learn.

Cheers,

Stephen (...... and I am really English, just hiding away in the lowlands!)

Welcome Stephen! I have found this forum to be a great way to learn about fountain pens - the fine people here have been very helpful and informative.

Just remember there are no stupid noobie questions. Only stupid noobie mistakes that came from NOT asking stupid noobie questions. You have centuries of Fountain Pen experience here and that is just in Griz alone! Use the search tool and you can find out a lot. Anything else just post. Believe me this group will reply with nothing but support and experience.

You'll find a bunch of Nederlanders here, including our resident Mad Dutchman Wim. And me, who who has been there and loved it!

Welcome aboard!

Most of us here are users / accumulators, so you'll fit right in. There's also quite a bit of info around on various pens that you might be interested in.

Nice collection you've got going.

See you around.

It would be pretty weird if a Dutchman who doesn’t live among the Dutch wouldn’t return a “Hello” to someone who lives among the Dutch and isn’t a Dutchman. So here it is! ;)

The FPN is a nice place to be, so visit us often!

You will be fine, as long as you don't read the pen reviews. Especially those by The Noble Savage.
