Initial Impression: 10/10

My initial impression of this is well... Look at it, its beautiful. I love this pen, because at first glance its smooth but almost menacing at the same time. I bought this pen from a fellow FPNer (Thanks D) and I don't have the box, so I don't know what I'm missing/not missing. This is number 258 out of 911

Look/Finish/Hardware: 10/10

The Resin has so much to it, unless its in direct sunlight or bright light it seems very modest. The silver trim makes this "modesty"non-existent, as its almost teeth like... Both clip and trim is sterling silver and the the combination of greens, blues and blacks makes this pen, in my opinion very desirable. Depending on what the lighting situation is, its almost shows different colors as you can see.

Feel/Balance: 8/10

The weight of this pen is fantastic. Its nice and light regardless of its size. As you can see its longer than a 149 and about the same girth. The pens length is made so you dont post it... For me thats a bummer, because the cap feels like it posts, but with any slight movement, it falls off. The length of the pen with no cap or posting is 14cm witch is plenty long, but I just like to post...

Filling System 7/10 Nib: 8/10

Filling system is a CC/converter. I think there is a French one made with a piston, but I was only able to come across this one. Not a deal breaker, but not my favorite.

The nib had some issues when I first got it, and I don't know if this manufacture issues or something else. I didn't want to do a review until it wrote smooth. I procrastinated for a while and finally just took it to some smoothing paper... Viola! It writes amazing with a broad semi flex stroke. I plan on keeping this for a while, so I will probably get the nib switched out to fine eventually, but for now its a great signature/check writer pen...

Price/Value: Retail Price 3/10 Price I paid 9/10

Like I said, I bought this from a fellow FPNer so I feel I got what I paid for. The pen has some scuffs on the sterling "teeth" silver, but besides that its in great condition. I would say, if you bought this "retail" for 1200 you would be sad, but if you paid 300-450 used, its worth it...

Overall: 8/10

Besides the filling system and non-posting this pen would be a 9+ out of 10 for me.. But still an excellent Celluloid LE!

It's actually a resin pen, but it is a VERY pretty resin. I just had really wanted a Skipper (and finally got what I was looking for).

Really? Well it goes to show I still have a lot to learn...

It doesn't pass the scroop test (search on that word).

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
