Good Morning Everyone,

Does anyone own one of these Opus 88 fountain pens?

I stopped into the Paradise Pen store in Dallas and saw one on sale. The store manager said this company does all of the urushi and Makie-e work for Loiminchay.

Anyone have on of these and available to offer feedback.

Very Best,

Bill

Yes. I have one. It is a beautiful black with hand decorated egg shell chips. It is one of my finest writing pens the nib (medium) is so smooth it's a joy to write with.

I have the Opus 88 ink dropper purchased from Pen Chalet. Wonderful pen! Priced under 100., writes like a dream right out of

the box. Fairly large pen that I use un-posted. Medium nib a bit on the fine side as expected but ok by me. I noted that Chatterly Luxuries out

of Tucson will and has been carrying more expensive pens from this company that are beautiful! I believe the one above is an example of what I have seen

on their site. The pen pictured above is not the Opus Koloro 88.

Would love to hear further of your thoughts on the Koloro, specifically, the use and convenience of the safety rod/piston/valve mechanism.

I just ordered a tan and blue model Koloro. I've never used an eyedropper pen before. Does this pen need silicone grease on the threads to prevent leaks? Any help would be appreciated...

I've been using mine for about a week now with no silicone

grease on the threads and have seen absolutely no signs of

leakage. This pen appears to be well constructed and is a

real value IMHO.

I also recently purchased the Opus88 Koloro with a Medium nib...Pen writes great right out of the box...has very good ink capacity.

The medium nib writes somewhere between a western medium and a western fine...

I have not put any silicone grease on the threads, and I have no signs of leakage.

I am very pleased, and agree it is a good value.
