Ols67, thank you very much for the verses, I really like Robert Frost's works.

Dreams

Hold fast to dreams

For if dreams die

Life is a broken-winged bird

That cannot fly.

Hold fast to dreams

For when dreams go

Life is a barren field

Frozen with snow.

~Langston Hughes

'Twill make a thing endurable, which else

Would overset the brain, or break the heart:"

You have lovely handwriting!  As for the poem, I think it would have helped it you wrote it in a different format, because of what I presume are internal rhymes -- it doesn't really work as a prose poem, IMO.

For the record, I suck at prose poems for the most part -- had to do one this past spring as one of this year's NaPoWriMo prompts.

I can see the photo just fine, so I don't think you have a problem with uploading pictures; you have been entirely successful in putting your digital image content into the FPN Image Gallery, in a manner that makes it to accessible to visitors and fellow members.

If you want to change the way your images present inline in your post, this is how you do it:

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

Wow.  Forgot how much I liked Tyrian Purple.  Haven't used it for a couple of years. :headsmack: Thanks for reminding me that I should ink something up with it!

This is a short poem by Francis William Bourdillon.  It isn’t exactly in the Stoic School of Thought, but is a nice poem for practicing one’s script!
