Fountain Pens Slang

I've read some people (me included) trying to describe how a pen writes. Not an easy task; some terms like "feedback from paper" or "toothiness" are fine, but I was wondering about 2 guitar slang words that might be used with fountain pens; I'll try to explain their meaning with guitars and then how it could be used with pens.

1.- "Attack". Attack has 2 basic meanings:

A.- The way you hit the strings.

B.- How fast a guitar or amp responds to your playing

Meaning B could be used to describe slow starters; not pens that skip, but those that need a tiny bit of paper to deliver a consistent line. Some start with a wider than usual stroke, others with a finer one... you get the idea (I hope)

2.- "Dynamics"

Dynamics refers to the way a guitar or amp reacts to the way you play. For example, with my AC30 and telecaster I can get clean to fully overdriven tones just controlling the pick and the volume knob of the guitar. You can get different tones depending on whether you hit the strings nearer or further the bridge.

We could use this term for those pens which not being flexy, deliver a nice line width variation, or which behave in different ways with some inks.

Any other words out there?
