I've bought two 850s from Hari. A s/s for me and a black one for my hubbie (don't ask me why but he only collects black pens!)

They are fantastic writers and so far we've had no problems with either.

Hari is a star to deal with, exceptionally fast service, very caring and great communications too, thanks Hari!

+1 on that. I have an 850 s/s from Hari also. It's a splendid writer, beautiful to look at and handle. And this is the most recent of several excellent experiences with Hari. (usual disclaimer.)

I found a Taiwanese website selling the same pen.

According to the description, Pai Dee is one the old fountain pen makers like Hero, Wing Sung etc..

I bought one SS from Hari last year. Superb writer. Just one complain on the design of the pen, which is when you cap or uncap the pen, there is rough scratching noise. This scratching noise kind of puts me off. Anybody else having this problem ? Any tips to fix this ?

I have the stainless version. I believe that I bought it frm Hari about one year ago. It is one of my favorite Chinese pens and ranks very high among all of my pens. Writes first time every time.Smooth western fine with softish nib. I'd like it bdtter if not all stainless, although it makesa statement.

Highly recommended.

Glad to hear that the pen has proved to be reliable. Sadly the pen seems to be no longer available.
