Parker Black Quink

This is the cheapest black ink here in Mexico. It is widely available. I agree with the comments regarding the bottle design, it is not the best. This inks perfoms well in almost every aspect but I think it is not very black in color. I use it almost daily, due to its cost and good behavior but, really, I would like a little bit of extra darkness.

I like Parker Quink and I am using it daily in an assortment of fountain pens. I like the flow and the ease which it cleans up! The shade of black suits me just fine! Had some issues with Noodler's BB in a couple of my pens, it wouldn't flow after sitting overnight in one and it required some effort to clean the pens out compared to the Quink? The Noodler's was little darker, but this was not enough of a factor to choose it over the Quink for daily use.

I would use this one, but my Staples sells Parker Quink washable black for $10 a pop. It's just more economical than ordering ink, and why buy an expensive ink when it's only going to be looked at once or twice than recycled?

To my surprise I like black Quink (from a bottle like Gcouch's avatar); it's easy to talk it down because it's commonly available and so the plebs might use it. It has a slightly off-black look which I find perfect for vintage pens, I like the reassurance that it won't damage pens that have been abused in other hands before I got them, and the fading to brown will make it look even more old-time-ish if I leave my scribblings out in the sun.

Parker Quink Black ink is the only black ink I use.Have been happy with it.

So far I've used Noodler's BP Black, Sheaffer's Skrip Black (Slov) and Parker Quink Black. I liked the Noodler's. Great ink. Then went through the Skrip; like the shade but once in a while the flow wasn't the best. Then tried the Quink. Not quite as permanent as Noodlers, but readily available at Staples. I'm on my second bottle of Quink. I like the slight vintage appearance, affordability, and behavior.
